deWintons London event caterers traveled out to Normandy early on Monday morning to be ready for 500 guests on race day starting with breakfast at 5.30am.  Staff  took trains, planes and ferries to reach Normandy along with hundreds of kilo’s of rice, Arabic curries, Paratha’s and freshly churned ice-cream from Cornwall.

As the event was based in the heart of Normandy we had a fabulous display of  seafood to include Lobster, crab, crayfish and an array of  local cheeses.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum (UAE) proved unbeatable.  Changeable weather conditions, stamina-sapping ground which became increasingly holding as the day went on, and stringent veterinary procedures saw combination after combination drop out of the competition.
